Supports the Civil Society in its broadest sense (NGOs, CSOs start ups, Trade Unions, Professional Organisations, etc.)
Promotes the development of a culture of civil society in the Turkish Cypriot community through the provision of training on topics such as project implementation, monitoring and capacity building among potential Turkish Cypriot candidates in EC.
Provides training to potential participants to European Union (EU) Calls for Proposals as well as to EU grantees, but also more general capacity building training programmes to CSOs;
Assists CSOs by providing tailor-made counselling and long-term coaching based on an every day service.
Promoting the development of trust, dialogue, co-operation and closer relationships between the Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot communities as an important step towards a solution to the Cyprus problem.
Strengthening of civil society organizations and the development of a culture of civil society in the Turkish Cypriot community.
Civil Society Support Team in brief:
Is a mobile team of three Is funded under the EU Aid Package to the Turkish Cypriot community;
Is also supporting civil society organisations online, through a website, to allow for networking, identification of partners and provision of updated information about EU Calls for Proposals

Is a mobile team speaking English and Turkish, based in Nicosia but ready to work in other regions, cities and villages for the next three years.
Is welcoming active citizens by providing a free meeting place and free wireless internet services;
Is inviting all Civil Society Organisations wanting to join, to participate in the Team's Advisory Committee.
