The Civil Society Support Team opens its doors


The Civil Society Support Team is opening its doors to civil society: interested individuals, NGOs and newly developing organisations, trade unions, professional organisations , etc. in Cyprus.

The doors will open on Tuesday 22 April 2008 at 17:00 at Hasan Küçük Street 3 Köşklüçiftlik Nicosia (behind Halk Bankası) in the presence of Alessandra Viezzer, Aid Programme Co - ordinator, followed by classical music and refreshment.


The Civil Society Support Team promotes the strengthening of civil society organisations and the development of a culture of civil society in the Turkish Cypriot community through the provision of training on topics such as project implementation, monitoring and capacity building among potential Turkish Cypriot candidates in EC Calls for proposals. The Team works in English and Turkish, in all regions, cities and villages of Cyprus and will be operational for the next three years. The project is funded under the € 259 million EU Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community, managed by the European Commission.
